In order to enhance our abilities to positively respond to incidents involving missing autistic or elderly individuals suffering from dementia, the Rapid Recovery Program was created to permit parents/guardians to provide first responders with crucial information about the individual in case of emergency. To register a child or elderly adult, all you need to do is fill out a simple two page Information Sheet.

This national initiative is conducted every October with a different fire safety emphasis each year. This year, we'll be spreading the word that more fires start in the kitchen than in any other part of the home—and we'll help teach people how to keep cooking fires from starting in the first place. Members of the White Plains Fire Department will be meeting with local school children this week instructing them on this important topic.
